Kalamazoo Speedway Realigns Event Schedule for Jul...

6/28/2021 -
Due to low weekly car counts in the upper divisions and trying to better align the Kalamazoo Speedway schedule with those of neighboring tracks, we are making adjustments to two race nights in July. We are hoping this will help bolster Kalamazoo Speedway’s and neighboring tracks’ car counts, especially as most tracks have larger premier races comin

Berlin and Kalamazoo bring top 3 finishes!

The Racing team has been busy prepping for a stacked July of racing. The team traveled to one of Snyder's favorite tracks, Berlin Raceway on 7/9. Right away, Snyder was fast. Derek posted fast time of the night during qualifying with a 13.074. Snyder fought a vibration most of the day which turned out to be a U-joint failure. With hard work the crew was able to fix it in time for the feature. An eight invert was rolled for the feature, putting Snyder on the outside of the 4th row. On the start, Derek rocketed to the lead in only 6 laps. Bobby Santos nibbled away at Snyders lead until lap 22 when lap traffic got in the way and allowed Santos to make the pass for the lead. This also gave Jason Blonde an opening to take second spot. Snyder would hold on for a 3rd place finish.
The next weekend of 7/15 the team traveled to another one of Snyder's favorite tracks Kalamazoo Speedway. Snyder was second quick in the second hot lap session but left a little on the table during qualifying. Derek qualified 6th with a 10.830. In the heat race, Snyder took second place immediately but the start was called back because of a spin behind him. Derek would take a 4th place finish in the heat. Starting on the outside of the second row of the feature, Snyder fell into the 4th hole on the start of the feature and worked on Sierra Jackson the entire race. Snyder was gaining on the lead 3 cars when David Byrne spun while trying to navigate lapped traffic. On the restart, Snyder would make a few last attempts at the top two spot but would ultimately settle for 3rd.
